2004 will be again the year of Barcelona. After the Olympic Games in 1992 the city has not experienced an event with the magnitude of the Forum. More than 5 million visitors are expected to come.

Under three main issues –cultural diversity, sustainable development and conditions for peace- the Forum has organized 141 days plenty of different activities:

THE DIALOGUES

Over 1,500 speakers will participate in an international forum to try to find solutions to the most poignant issues that trouble our world. 40 dialogues will take place during the 5 months that the forum lasts. Religion, freedom, communication and culture will be some of the prevailing topics. Check the program here.

THE PLAZA FORUM 2004

Culinary events, concerts, fair trade, exhibitions, traditional festivals, acrobatics, films and documentaries, crafts fairs, puppet shows, monologues, theatre, firework displays… all you can imagine will take place at the Plaza, a unique space that becomes the heart of the Forum.

LARGE- SCALE EXHIBITIONS IN BARCELONA

The Forum main themes will be illustrated in four exhibitions: "Voices", "Inhabiting the World", "Cities-Corners" and "The Terracotta Warriors of Xi’an", exhibition that want to show for first time in Europe the mortician chinese art.

THE CITY

The Forum won’ t be just concentrated in an area so all the city will experience the event through the organization of a lot of activities such as exhibitions, concerts, shows or dance. Singers like Sting or Bob Dylan will act during the Forum. Moreover, such an event has transformed Barcelona and it is wonderful to visit the new stages facing the Mediterranean sea.
